Megan Privett

  • Mommy & Me
  • Ballet

Megan has harbored a love of dance since childhood and is excited to now be sharing it with her three daughters. A Kentucky native, Megan grew up taking dance classes and eventually teaching at Capital City Dance Studios in Frankfort, Kentucky. She performed as a guest dancer the role of “Clara” in Ballet Jorgen of Canada’s The Nutcracker and danced as a party guest in Lexington Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Megan held leading dance roles in several musical theater productions with Bluegrass Theatre Guild during her high school and college years. During her college career she continued teaching dance and taking adult ballet classes with the Lexington Ballet. She has also studied modern, jazz, and lyrical. In 2006, Megan and her husband, BJ, moved to North Carolina for graduate school where she earned her M.A. in public history/historic preservation from UNC-Greensboro. Megan has worked in the preservation and architectural history fields since 2008 and currently is employed as an architectural historian for WSP. She looks forward to getting back to dancing again and helping little ones discover the joy of movement.
