Lilly Beaver is a May 2024 graduating senior at Elon University obtaining degrees in Dance Performance & Choreography and Psychology with a minor in Teaching & Learning. She was selected as the Outstanding Senior for Elon’s Dance Performance & Choreography major.
Lilly has been teaching at Miss Kim’s since January 2021 and is excited to step into a full-time role at Miss Kim’s and Miss Kim’s Next Step post-graduation.
Lilly has presented choreography in Elon’s Fall and Dancing in the Landscape Concerts, as well as at dance festivals in Chicago and Washington. She most recently choreographed and danced at the Little Pink Houses of Hope Gala. Lilly has enjoyed becoming a part of the Burlington area, even choreographing for Alamance Children’s Theatre.
Lilly has trained and performed works by numerous local and guest artists, including dancing in American Dance Festival’s Footprints Showcase, where she also trained at their summer intensive. She also is an apprentice for Joyemovement Dance Company in Greensboro, NC and has danced for several artists’ dance films, shows, and residencies affiliated with the North Carolina Dance Festival. Lilly is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, West African, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern and Contemporary techniques.
Lilly started dancing at the age of 2 in her hometown of Kannapolis, NC and danced competitively for 14 years, winning many regional and national overall awards, titles and judges’ awards. She choreographed and taught dancers of all ages throughout high school with her dances winning numerous overall and special awards.
Lilly has a special place in her heart for dancers with special abilities and loves working with Our Time to Shine.
