Today at First Pres CDC was a very active one. The boys greeted me with their normal excitement. We headed upstairs and started class. Today was a really fun day for my boys. We did some acrobatics on the mats. The boys learned forward rolls, crab walks, and the start of cartwheels. Remember to sit on that lily pad first, tuck your head, and use your frog legs and feet to get you over! We then came upon a river with alligators in it! We had to put our hands on rocks and kick our feet over the alligators and land on the other side of the river. I made them tired again at the end of class with lots of jumping jacks, skips, burpees, and running. Little do they know how tired they are making me!
I had a big class of 2 and 3 year olds today.....everyone was there! I am so proud of this class. They listened so well and did everything I asked. It is just so amazing to me to see these little ones do so much and do it well. They get in line when I ask them....and stay in a line during an activity, they sit in a circle for Miss Puffy.....and stay there, they take turns and really help each other out as well. We did the same things today that they love the most like "If Your Happy and You Know It", "Wheels on the Bus", "Mister Sun", "Miss Puffy", "Bop until You Drop", and we went on a Bear Hunt!
My girls came next and boy did they have the energy today. Mrs. Michaels even asked me what I fed them after class since they were so excited. We prepared for our parent showcase next week reviewing our tap dance and ballet dance. (Parent showcase is only for my older tap and ballet class) Daddy duck called and we had to go fishing, and we went on a Bear Hunt too! They popped bubbles on the parachute and giggled while they jumped. The girls are really excited about showing their parents what they can do and I am too. They have really learned a lot in just a short period of time.
I am sad that next week is our last week but registration is going on right now for our next session which will begin on April 1st and run until May 20th.
