Today at First Pres CDC it was a cloudy Monday morning. But inside the children were bright eyed and ready to move. My day started with my boys. These boys do not have any idea how much it meant to me to see them full of smiles and eager to walk up the steps wondering what adventure was in store for them today. When we enter our special room I am flooded with questions "Can we go on a bear hunt?, Can we do burpies?, Can we play bop until we drop?". I answer....yes....yes....yes.....and then push play and they all start bouncing with intense energy. We then went on our bear hunt, Miss Puffy, and burpies. Our new gross motor skill we worked on was toes and heels. Daddy duck called and we had to go fishing. We went on a picnic and planted flowers. We ended our class with the Lazy Town song with lots of jumping jacks, running, skipping, and stretching. Needless to say, we all had a workout.

Next I went and got my little two and three year olds. We started our class with Bop until You Drop and the same sweet little girl always wants to fall right next to me. We also went on a picnic and found ants! I ask the children what their favorite food is and one little boy told me "Old MacDonald's"! Last week one of my little girls (she was absent today?) told me Ruffles! We chased the ants away with our toes and then got on the bus. We then planted flower seeds, watered them, and then gave them sun with "Mister Sun". We ended our day with the parachute which is always a highlight.

Last I went to get my girls for tap and ballet. They are always waiting for me in line ready to go. They are so sweet showing me all of our steps before we even get to the room. We started class with our favorite Hokey Pokey. We reviewed all of our tap steps and some even told me that they practiced with their Mommy. We danced to the Chipmunks that included all of our tap steps plus a lot of biscuit shaking. When we started ballet in first position I had a little girl tell me that her Mommy does Pilates and stands in first position.....hurray for Mommy and daughter! We danced for the princess again in preparation for our showcase for our parents. What fun we had today. I will see them again this Wed!
