I popped into First Pres CDC this morning and surprised lots of little ones. I came today instead of Wed so that I could go to my little boy's end of the year party at his school. I took my first class of two and three's to our special room. They were so excited as usual. We did all our favorite song and dances to Wheels On The Bus, Mister Sun, If You're Happy and You Know It, and Barney Car. We Bopped Until We Dropped and caught Miss Puffy. We jumped over the tree and popped bubbles on the parachute. I am so sad when I realized that Friday will be our last day until the fall. I will miss these little one's and their smiles and hugs!
My boys lined up like little soldiers when they saw me walk by their door. Then they start jumping and wiggling which shows me how excited they get when they know it is movement time. We practiced our "Parent Showcase" skits and talked about what our special treat would be for our moms. The boys have come so far in such a short time. They know how to do so much and little do they know that I threw several tap steps into their class.....they have no idea! Their parents will be amazed at their energy level....I just hope I can keep up with them!
My girls practiced their "Parent Showcase" dances and special treat for their mom. We reviewed our very hard tap step....ball change! My girls now know toes, heels, toe backs, shuffle step, shuffle hop step, shuffle ball change, and heel ball change. Several even earned Miss Kim hugs, Miss Kim twirls, and Miss Kim dips for remembering them as well as what they are called. Parents will be amazed on Friday.
See you then.....you might want to bring a tissue.
