Energy Flowing Today at First Presbyterian CDC! Click Photo for Photo Gallery.
Wow! What a day today at First Presbyterian CDC. I felt so much better today and gave these kids every bit of energy I had.
My two and three year olds were no exception when I say that there was a lot of energy today at First Pres. They did a great job but we did have to make sure our listening ears were on a little tighter. We also had to make sure we kept our pants on! Good thing I have really fast reflexes. ? We worked on jumping over a tree today and some of them can even do it with one foot. We also learned to roll by being a frog on a lily pad and eating a big, juicy fly! When we stood up we jumped so high like a froggy. The parachute was a welcome sight for these little eager movers and we popped a lot of bubbles. Sorry there are not many pictures up in the gallery for this group.....I did not have a chance to take many photos today.
My boys were ready and waiting. We were soldiers as we walked to our room marching, left, left, left, right, left. Then we got on our space ship (elevator) and flew to the moon after our countdown. As we tip toed on the moon we were looking out for aliens. We gave our Buzz Light Year speech "We Come in Peace" and then entered our room. We then turned into Paul Bunyan and headed to the forest. We had to jump over trees and crawl under trees! Daddy Duck called and we had to take him some fish. We then Bopped until We Dropped since we still needed to burn some energy. We also learned how to do the "Robot" dance and demonstrated our skills to the Robot song. These boys were quite impressive today.
My girls tap and ballet came next. We sang and danced to The Hokey Pokey which made us all smile. We then went over all of our tap steps with all of our stories. We started our "Parent Showcase" dance to "This Little Piggy Went to Market". It is such a cute dance and they really got into it. We then got ready for ballet by opening up our books. Close It! We worked on all of our ballet steps especially jete'. I had one little girl tell me she put her broom on the floor and showed her Mommy how to jete'. I love those stories. Great job today girls!
