What a fun day we had at First Presbyterian CDC! I started the day off with my two and three years olds. I walked in their classroom and they start yelling "Miss Tim Miss Tim". I threw open my arms and they bundled inside. I cannot describe in words how good this makes me feel to see their smiling faces.....this shows me without a doubt that they love what we do. They scurry up to the second floor with me to our special room. We went on a picnic, planted flowers (nobody brought a shovel!), sang "The Wheels on the Bus", "If you're Happy and you Know It", "Mister Sun", and much more. We worked on our skipping a lot today....ask your child about the frying pan and how they pop their knees. We finished with the parachute which is their favorite part of the class.

Next I went to get my boys. I had another new little fella that tried the class. Guess what he said? As we were walking back after class he told his teacher before he even got to the room "I had a lot of fun"......I have the best job in the world.....no doubt! Hopefully I will see him again next week. We did some new games today in the boy's class. We put our bathing suits on and headed to the beach. Guess what we saw? CRABS!!! There was a little girl named Kim (aka Miss Kim) who kept trying to catch a crab when she saw one crab walk across the sand! Kim tried so hard to catch a crab but he was too fast and got into his hole before she could catch him! We could have played this game the entire time! I heard some major giggles from the boys today.

My older girl's tap and ballet class was last. We did some different and new things today as well. We worked on flexibility and acrobatic moves. We learned to walk like a bear, crawl like a crab, roll like a frog (yes, Miss Kim's frogs roll), and jump over a river (cartwheel). The girls loved this and wanted to keep on trying all the moves. We reviewed our tap steps as well as our ballet steps. Daddy duck called and we had to go fishing for him. We played the same crab game as the boys and the girls laughed even harder. I caught one little crab named Ava but I then put her in her hole. She tried to pinch me with her pinchers so I took her picture! What a fun time we had today.
